The TARGETcourses Postgraduate Fairs are national postgraduate study and training fairs, based in Scotland and the Midlands and brought to you by GTI Media Ltd, publishers of the TARGETcourses and TARGETjobs series of products and organisers of the hugely successful postgradireland fair in Dublin.

What's more, with the strength of the TARGETjobs brand in the UK, the TARGETcourses Postgraduate Fairs will benefit from the strong association and trust that students have in both TARGETcourses and TARGETjobs products.

Marketing plan

During the course of the marketing campaign several different channels and methods are implemented. In particular, we use our influencers on campus i.e. the careers services and academic departments with whom we have excellent and often long-standing relationships. This is on top of online and offline marketing at campuses local to Birmingham.

Careers services

  • Personalised e-mail in December to all heads of service within English, Scottish and Welsh careers services.
  • Personalised direct mail of posters and postcards in January to UK careers services with priority to those in the Midlands.
  • Follow up e-mails during January to pass on to students.
  • Telemarketing to regional careers services in December and again in January about online marketing.

Academic departments

  • Personalised direct mail of posters and postcards to academic departments covering business, economics, engineering, finance, law, mathematics and computer science undergraduate courses.
  • Follow up e-mails during January, to forward to their penultimate and final year students.
  • Telemarketing campaign to over 100 key academic departments in December and January following up mailings and requesting e-mails and links.

On campus

  • Campus representatives campaign at key campuses promoting the event and obtaining pre-registrations.
  • Campus visits by GTI staff to Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Aston, Wolverhampton, Warwick and Leicester.

Cross promotion

  • E-mails and online promotion via targetjobs.co.uk and targetcourses.co.uk from December to February.
  • Advertising within GTI publications including TARGETjobs magazines and regional Careers Service Guides running up to the fair
